THE SCENE

This piece depicts the home bathed in clear coastal light, with its iconic American flag standing out against the weathered cedar shingles and the crisp white trim. By removing the transient "noise" of Commercial Street, the focus is returned to the simple, enduring beauty of this local landmark.

ARTIST NOTE

With "77A Commercial," my intent was to capture the classic Cape Cod feel of a home that represents the welcoming spirit of Provincetown's West End. By curbing the surrounding distractions, I wanted to highlight the simple, honest beauty of the Flag House and its relationship with coastal living.

This cottage is a landmark of memory for many, and through this limited edition series, I hope to share the sense of pride it brings to the Commercial Street landscape.
