ATMOSPHERIC COLLECTION

"Morning Art" is a distilled watercolor study of a quiet Provincetown alleyway at the break of dawn. By stripping away the daytime noise of Commercial Street, this piece reveals the structural "bones" of the town with the sharp gables, the leaning bicycle, and the iconic "ART" sign standing sentinel at the water's edge of the harbor.

THE SCENE

This work captures the fleeting moment when the warm oranges of the rising sun meets the cool indigo shadows of the evening’s retreat. It is an exploration of grounded energy and the meditative presence found in the Outer Cape’s unique light.

ARTIST NOTE

With "Morning Art," my intent was to capture the atmospheric soul of a Provincetown morning before the world wakes up. In my work, I look for the "structural bones" of the town—those narrow alleys and historic passages that lead us to the sea.

The reflection in the puddle and the glow of the "ART" sign represent that moment of sudden clarity we often find in the early light. By curbing the surrounding visual noise, I wanted to highlight the architectural grace of these simple gray walls and the quiet, meditative peace they frame.

I hope this piece serves as a daily invitation to find beauty in the quiet corners of the Outer Cape.
