ICONIC SOULS

This original watercolor study captures the enduring presence of the Red Inn, one of Provincetown's most beloved landmarks. By curbing the surrounding visual noise, the focus remains squarely on the architectural bones and atmospheric grace of this Outer Cape icon. It is a meditative exploration of place and history, distilled into light and pigment.

THE SCENE

By applying the "Curbing Art" philosophy, this work removes surrounding visual noise to focus squarely on the architectural essence and grace of the inn. The composition invites you to enjoy the lush gardens and the welcoming harbor deck, complete with Adirondack chairs and umbrellas that overlook an expansive view of Provincetown Harbor.

ARTIST NOTE

In my Iconic Souls series, I seek to reveal the "structural bones" of the places we love. With the "Red Inn," my goal was to move beyond the typical tourist view and capture the actual classic grace of the building itself.

By isolating the architecture against the serene backdrop of the harbor, I wanted to emphasize the feeling of coastal sanctuary that the inn provides. Whether it is the vibrant life in the gardens or the quiet invitation of the Adirondack chairs on the deck, this piece is about the peace found at the ground of the Red Inn.

This early years painting is my way of sharing the enduring soul of Provincetown with you.
